Areas of Experience
With our years of experience in healthcare, we provide your team real world experience that assists you in determining not only how strong your case is, but the knowledge and insight to arm you with the knowledge of what questions need to be asked to make your case as strong as possible.
Emergency
There are a myriad of factors that must be considered when determining appropriate care in the emergency setting. Emergency Departments have become flooded with patients resulting in mistakes, errors and delays in treatment. We provide the experience and knowledge to determine if the case has merit and if so, did the causitive factor result from improper triage, flawed processes or inappropriate nurse to patient ratios.
Critical Care
An aging population that is living longer and experiencing multiple health issues means more days in critical care. Problems resulting from admission to a critical care unit may include ventilator associated pneumonia, central line associated blood stream infections, acute respiratory distress syndrome and staph infections. Our experience in critical care nursing and the associated standards of care helps us determine if the care provided was appropriate.
Long Term Acute Care
Long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs) furnish extended medical and rehabilitative care to individuals with clinically complex problems, such as multiple acute or chronic conditions, that need hospital-level care for relatively extended periods. Medicare recognized 436 LTACHs in 2011. Patients receiving care in an LTACH can have complex health issues and extensive and complicated treatments. With our experience in LTACHs, we can sift through the extensive medical records and provide you with the pertinent information regarding your case.
Flight Operations
Providing medical care via flight operations requires very specialized processes and procedures. Ensuring safe operations mandates training and specialized policies. Issues that arise with patient care and aviation accidents requires an in-depth knowledge of the details that make a flight program successful. We provide this in-depth knowledge to assist your team with cases or situations involving flight operations.
EMS Pre-hospital
Emergency Medical Services has become an accepted part of our communities and because of that it has grown from simple transport to extensive mobile intensive care units. There is a science to providing quality EMS services through the use of system status management and emergency medical dispatch protocols. The medical care provided has also become quite refined. Protocols and standing orders sometimes consists of hundreds of pages. We have the knowledge in both administration of EMS systems and the standards of care in the provision of treatment to assist you with any case involving the EMS and Pre-hospital arena.
Nursing Administration
Understanding how processes are implemented and policies are developed is relatively easy. Our years of management experience allows us to recognize the subtle clues that can determine, not just if the processes and policies were followed, but if they were administered appropriately. We have extensive knowledge in nursing administration and can answer the broader questions of the administrative issues that may or may not have been the causitive agent.
